Toshiba launches 25th Anniversary Augmented Reality Campaign

SINGAPORE, 25th June 2010 - Toshiba's Computer Systems Division (CSD), a division of Toshiba Singapore Pte Ltd, today announced new 25th Anniversary Products; the Portégé R700 and libretto W100. Additionally, to allow customers and end-users join in Toshiba celebrating 25 years of Notebook Innovations and Quality, two interactive online campaigns are being introduced. The first campaign is based on Twitter and will commence from today till end July. The second is an Augmented Reality campaign built around the theme of a birthday cake will be made available in August.

Leveraging on Twitter, Toshiba will be inviting its ardent supporters to send in their birthday greetings.
"We want to interact with our end-users directly and Twitter is a great tool to facilitate this exchange,"

"Celebrate online with our 25th Anniversary Birthday Bash" -Augmented Reality Campaign
Built using web technology, end-users on PCs that come with a microphone and video camera can blow out
candles on a Toshiba 25th anniversary birthday cake to reveal interesting prizes and promotions. This
regional 25th anniversary augmented reality campaign will commence in August 2010. Mr Tay also added,
"Our 25th Anniversary celebration of Innovation and Technology can reach end-users anywhere as long
as there is good internet access. By using website and existing technology on notebooks, it is possible
to allow end-users to join us in our 25th Anniversary Birthday Celebrations. They can take part in our
festivities and literally blow out candles on our Augmented Reality birthday cake. On our 25th birthday,
everyone gets all the gifts. "All residents and customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand,
